Coaching

Ashby Castle LTC boasts a strong and vibrant coaching programme with opportunities for players of all ages and abilities.

The coaching is provided by Alex Guzder. He manages a team of coaches which allows the club to offer a comprehensive training schedule which runs 52 weeks per year.

During term time weekly classes operate and through the holiday period we run holiday camps.

Coaching starts for children aged 2-4 in our tennis stars sessions. These sessions help deliver coordination skills in a fun environment. A class runs at Ashby Tennis Club on a Sunday 10-10.45 and a second session takes place at Hood Park Leisure Centre on a Monday 3.45-4.30. Cost is £20 for 5-weeks.

Our mini tennis programme serves children aged 4-11 with various classes running across the week and a pay as you play session on a Saturday.

We run a teenager programme for all levels starting from complete beginners through to players who are looking at playing county tennis. Programmes are devised to meet the players needs.

Players also have the option of individual coaching with a member of the coaching team. These sessions can be arranged at mutually convenient times for both player and coach.

For adults we have a cardio tennis session on a Monday evening 7-8pm followed by an adult improver session 8-9pm. Ladies mornings take place on both Mondays and Fridays 9.30-11.30. All adult sessions are payable weekly.
